‘Honest Ed’ rides again!

From a friend in Motspur Park:-

On Saturday morning all residents in the Motspur Park area were circulated with (a) letter from Ed Davey.  What a cheek!!!  But very fast and almost effective – I say almost because most of the people realise that he had nothing to do with the campaign and he has not won many friends by this circulation – in fact it has probably had a negative effect on his standing around here.

He does not exactly claim success for himself but it is a clear example of getting on the band wagon – an amazing attempt at political opportunism!!…………………

The Lib Dems gave no help with the campaign during the “struggle”.  ……………but only now that the battle appears to be won. He is clearly trying to associate himself with the successful campaign.

Members of the Motspur Park Residents Association are up in arms about this and writing to Davey and to the local press. He never contacted the residents after they went to him for help.  He has not been seen on the door step around here.

He never said anything in Parliament – never did anything to help us – never asked a question about need to retain sports fields in this area etc etc what a political animal he is, now apparently trying to win some political advantage in this area of Motspur Park..
