I was disgusted to read this morning about a serviceman being refused a hotel room in Woking because of ‘company policy’ and another being refused service by a branch of Tesco when in uniform, also because of ‘company policy’. Service personnel, who put their lives on the line, deserve much better of their fellow citizens than this!
Could I suggest that decent citizens hit these firms in the profit margin, where it hurts, until they apologise and change their ‘company policy’. I must say, I can’t speak for hotels, but I did think Tesco were saner than this. We live and learn!
